My Project

My second-grade class is located on a military base and features incredible students with unique needs and backgrounds. These kids are serving alongside their loved ones and often times they live away from their parents and face frequent relocations. My students deserve a warm inviting classroom that will nourish their hearts and minds while they learn and grow and that is full of enriching hands-on experiences.

With this project, I am requesting supplies for organization, art, crafting, and math projects to assist with self-expression through painting, building, and design to further enrich our daily learning.

These materials are items such as rolling carts, craft projects that feature ornaments and plants, pattern blocks for group collaboration, and other art supplies to enrich our daily lessons. These can do wonders for a child's confidence and self-esteem while strengthening his or her communication skills.

Covid has greatly impacted these children with loss of services, social experiences, and limitations on recreational activities. They have many deficits that need to be met educationally as well as socially and emotionally to return them to pre-pandemic levels of achievement and prevent the lingering toll on their mental and physical health.
