This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a public preschool classroom in an urban environment that serves twenty students ages 4 and 5.

My inclusive classroom is filled with diverse learners and English language learners whom all aim to please and strive to do well.

My young students value the diversity that exists in our classroom. I enjoy witnessing their appreciation and respect for one another and watching them build and maintain friendships with one another. I also enjoy the pleasurable and refreshing ways they express themselves and their curiosity and enthusiasm they apply to their daily explorations and discoveries.

My Project

I am seeking to attain a color laser printer and ink cartridges to provide my young students with a classroom environment that presents educational materials in color. Attaining the ability to provide my students with colored learning materials will assist me in stimulating their creativity and critical thinking, as well as enhancing their language development.

Please help me incorporate color into my classroom environment and learning materials to enhance my students’ learning, engagement, memory, and language development.

My classroom possesses a high number of diverse learners as well as English language learners and they respond better to lessons and materials presented in color. Providing my students with educational materials in color will also naturally inspire and engage them in their learning

Colored printing will also be an asset in creating interactive visual aids to help me communicate complex concepts and new vocabulary to my students. I would also like to provide colorful handouts, games, activities, posters, newsletters, and calendars in order to make learning materials more accessible to all my students.
