Help me give my students an HP printer to do colorful work that can be laminated with Apache pouches for use in school, and plenty of ink so we don't run out.
I work with a wonderful group of students who have many challenges in their daily lives. They come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. They struggle with daily routines that are compounded with a disability and a language barrier. Many of my students with a language disorder, happen to be Spanish speakers only. They come to school struggling to learn the rules of their own language, while dealing with a disability that impairs their success. I wish to give them every opportunity to improve their language and communication skills in their own language to make them successful on their academic journey.
My Project
My students would benefit from material printed on an HP color printer, laminated ( I already own a laminator) with Apache pouches for durability and ease of use during their school day. Magnetic paper will also allow those with mobility issues to participate along with peers in classroom activities.Some of my students need specific materials made for them to aid them through the school day. Their language disorders create a gap that can be filled with custom materials to help them gain access to the curriculum. This will help them have a sense of independence. These tools can be used in school and at home.
