My Students

My students are active, creative thinkers that need challenging. They love hands on activities and learning through real life experiences. They love to think outside the box and find solutions to everyday problems. They are passionate about the earth and building a better place.

My Project

The students will use the raised garden beds and soil to plant flowers and vegetables. They will water and care for their plants as they grow. They will observe which plants grow quicker and require more care and sunshine. Students will create journals to monitor the plants progress. Students will be given an opportunity to eat vegetables that they cared for and helped grow. The students will brainstorm solutions when plants are not growing and determine how to help them grow. They will make adjustments when the weather changes or when the plants need more sunlight or water.
