My students are kids at hope, they hunger for knowledge and the ability to express that knowledge. They are sponges waiting for something to absorb. They want the opportunity to learn and create. They strive for success and work toward their goals. They are excited everyday when the come to class, the kinder through to the eighth graders, always asking what we are doing and so excited to begin. Our school is a title one school where 89% of the families are living in poverty. We are in a small district that consists of two schools and receive little funding. The school provides a variety of activities to involve the community to help support the students. We accept the students for who they are and push to them to become who they want to be. We are a family.
