iMusic: iPads for Virtual and In-Person Music Technology Learning
Help me give my students technology for virtual and in-person learning by adding iPads to our school-wide music classroom
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Shields's classroom raised $991
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our school supports many students with diverse backgrounds and nationalities, including an autism unit and a resource setting.
This project is specific to grades 3-6, plus the autism unit, and reaches a broad range of students throughout the school.
My K-2 students will also benefit from this project.
My Project
Technology has become a growing aspect of all learning, and music education has fallen behind. Creation is the highest form of learning.
Adding iPads to my music classroom gives students the opportunity to connect these two studies in a meaningful, hands-on learning environment.
Students are so engaged and enamored with technology that adding iPads and compositional and editing strategies will help the students to reach a key component of our state music standards- creation.
Ownership of student work is so valuable and having iPads will help the students to do so. In addition, this project also requests headphones for individual work and replacement ukulele strings so students can play their instrument as they learn to create music through technology.
Thank you to the state legislature and USBE for supporting music education in the classroom.
