My Project

My 4th grade students aim to please and are rising to the occasion after a hard two years following Covid and the impact it has made to their learning.

Young children have been impacted greatly by Covid and mask wearing.

They haven't mastered how to react to and engage with their peers. Furthermore they have not grasped social cues by looking at peers’ faces for the development of empathy.

Students will be provided lessons in developing problem solving, emotional and physical check ups, develop empathy and compassion while being engaged in thoughtful literature, such as Freckle Juice, Fish In A Tree, and Do Unto Otters. The Teacher Pay Teachers gift card will give me access to a variety of lessons and activities related to the requested titles that will enhance the learning experiences for my students, while allowing me to differentiate for their learning needs.
