Improving Social Emotional Learning with Technology

My Project
This iPad will give students the opportunity to independently learn and reflect. We have been searching for the best way to assign specific digital social emotional learning activities to specific students. With one iPad dedicated to this purpose, we will be able to keep a library of options. Our student support team will assign skill building activities to students needing additional support with skills such as conflict resolution, problem solving, and perseverance.
Self-reflection is a key component of improved social emotional learning.
One of the major activities planned for this technology will be interactive think sheets to process mistakes or poor choices. The student will work independently and then an adult will review and process their self-reflection. It will also allow students with disabilities to have accommodations in these activities that were previously pencil paper.
We are very excited to see how this technology can benefit our students.
