Improving Skills With an iPad, Part 2

Please help me give my students an Apple iPad and a case for various activities.

My Project

My students are superheroes! All my students benefit from an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to access the curriculum.

An iPad would create more opportunities for students to be creative and practice various skills learned in class using multiple learning apps to help them develop their reading, writing, and STEM skills.

Students will access apps that provide access to books, so they can select books that reflect themselves and those they are interested in reading. These apps have texts with more familiar characters, and similar life experiences faced daily in the lives of my students living in an urban area. Novels that represent people in their community and family make texts less intimidating and more accessible for students. In addition, my students will be participating in strategic and targeted lessons, and the iPad will be an excellent supplement to their activities. Incorporating an iPad into small group practice would allow students to be engaged with learning in so many different ways. A case will help to keep the iPad protected.

This project's second part is to create a class set.
