Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is designed to help create student binders which will encase their student workbook pages, reading fluency assessments, entrance and exit slips for class and vocabulary catchers. In our class, we use a wonderful curriculum to help students who struggle in literacy. With this program, there is a lot of paper material that needs to be printed and placed in their binders. Their binders need to be changed out three times a year with new curriculum.
By having an electric three-hole punch, we will have more time to focus on the academics because we will quickly be able to hole punch all of our assignments to add to our binders.
Also, having to share that hole-punch with an entire class adds to the length of time that it takes. Having to hole punch every paper has been extremely time consuming for the class. On average, there are about 250 pages that need to be added to each student binder three times a year. An electric hole punch would give us more time to focus on academics and literacy. This would be a game-changer in our classroom and would make a huge difference in their learning.
My goals for this project is to allow students with an opportunity to use this curriculum and access it faster. The students in my class are absolutely wonderful. They are dedicated to learn. Our class is composed of high school students who are eager to learn and are proud of the progress they make.
