Help me give my students some rich literary books, as well as the Scholastic News magazine. I have also included Scholastic writing magazines and items to help organize our class room.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are part of a 5th grade class in Utah. Our school is a STEM school that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This year our school goal is to improve literacy to help the students learn across all curriculum.
My students are energetic and full of questions about past and current events.
They have a desire to learn and make connections from past events to the present. They beam with joy when they make these connections and soak up those "Ah-ha" moments.
My Project
One of our school goals is to improve literacy. This project helps get a bigger variety of books in my class library. It also provides us with the Scholastic news magazines to help students make connections to past and current events through literacy. This project also provides writing tools and items for class organization. With these items the environment and tools that the students have will help create a space for improved learning and give the students literature that is both interesting and educational. Students will be using both the books and magazines to improve literacy in both reading and writing.
