Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This subscription to Vocabulary A-Z will give my students and their families an opportunity to work together to increase their reading skills, word decoding, and vocabulary knowledge. Reading is not just about being able to read the words, but also about being able to understand what you have read.
Using comic stripes as a writing platform is a fantastic way to get students excited about narrative writing.
Comic strips are a wonderful way to get students interested in writing and a useful assessment tool. Pixton is a comic strip creation site for classrooms where teachers and students can both make and share their comic strips. Writing original comics through storyboards will help students learn how to write narratives with plot events.
Pixton will help students demonstrate knowledge of characters, settings, and identify significant events. I am also requesting Teacher Pay Teachers gift cards to access a variety of narrative writing resources to supplement our writing program. Please help my students by giving them additional and meaningful instructional technology reading practice. Your donation will provide these deserving students with individualized instruction, which will help them become awesome readers.
