This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is 100% free/reduced lunch. We are an urban school trying to give our scholars experiences beyond the district's capabilities.
Our scholars are from all over the world.
We have students and staff from about 30 different countries. Our school is 110 years old. It has transitioned from a predominantly Jewish school to an international educational hub.
Our scholars look for opportunities outside of the classroom as well as the academics in the classroom. Our Arts and Theater Department looks to give them these opportunities.
My Project
These maretials will add depth to our stage lighting. Students will learn how to run more lighting sources. The microphone will improve sound on the stage and will fit in with our sets for our Spring Musical Chicago.
Being seen and heard are the major components of performing on stage.
These items will help the student performers by allowing more flexible lighting and improve their sound with a new microphone.
When students are in their 1920's costumes the old style microophone will help create the visual of the time period and alow the students for fall into character easier and stay in character.
