Improving Fine Motor Skills Through Art

Help me give my students art activities to help with their fine motor skills.

My Project

Building the stamina to write can be a challenge. Putting their ideas into words is much easier and faster when children just say it out loud! Making building fine motor skills fun and and unique will captures students' attention and enable them to work out their hands while thinking they are simply playing. Improving fine motor skills through art is a perfect idea, as they can improve their skills while creating memories to take home.

I love giving students many opportunities to create artwork that their parents can keep for years to come and eventually look back on to remember when their child was a little tot.

The Brayer Rollers will be used for our new Gelli Plates to create even layers of paint while printing. I have requested two different sizes for our different hand sizes and strengths of our different children. Our school also has a limited selection of paint available, so having more paint would allow us to create even more paint projects! Another great craft project that young students like to do is create their own necklaces with beads. The tipped yarn laces are perfect for students to easily fit the end through the bead without the tips fraying and creating extra difficulty. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you can help make our students' lives more colorful!
