Improve Their Motor Skills Through Playing the Ukuleles and Castanets
Help me give my students with autism ukuleles and hand drums, and castanets to improve their motor skills and their creativity. Music has tremendous power to stimulate the children's brains.

My Project
I am working as a music teacher at a District 75 elementary school in Upper Manhattan, New York. Most of my students have autism who love music and are able to enjoy playing the percussions (including drums, castanets) and various instruments. They have strong interest in ukuleles. I have a passion about teaching the ukulele because I have been playing the ukulele and teaching young students for years. My goal is to have my students strum simple chords on the ukulele and perform as a ukulele ensemble at the school concert.
