My students need privacy dividers to go between computers to improve their ability to focus while working. The sensory items are to help them be able to fidget with something quietly in their hands and work.
My students have many challenges. Our intermediate school is a Title I school and 71.7% are "economically disadvantaged." Combine being economically disadvantaged with being in special education because you are 2-3 grade levels behind in reading, so all the resources necessary will help in learning and filling those reading skill gaps.
This can help my students with their sensory issues and focus better and in turn help reading skills one of their biggest challenges!
My students are easily frustrated with all of their challenges, and having something to use for sensory issues, and privacy folders around computers will help with focus all aiding in their journey to improve their reading skills.
My Project
The student privacy dividers to go in between desktop computers will help them focus on their work and improve their learning and in turn help increase their reading skills.
The small sensory toy items along with the privacy dividers will help my students ability to focus while having something small to fidget with and work at the same time.
All that together will help them focus, learn and improve their reading skills. These are students that are 2-3 grade levels behind and struggle everyday. So anything that helps them focus and work will make a big IMPACT on them daily.
