Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our media students help write, film, and produce segments for our daily video announcements. This has become an important part of both our school culture and their own media literacy. The technology the students have access to on their school-issued computers greatly impacts the level of editing and, unfortunately, creativity of the student-edited content.

With an iMac with adequate editing software, our students will no longer be limited in what the media they can produce.

Currently, I have to use my own personal computer to compile the student-created content because we don't have any school-issued technology with the appropriate software capabilities.

Having an iMac computer in our media class will not only make our morning announcements more sustainable for the school but also allow students more opportunities for editing longer, more complicated segments.
