This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The school that I work at serves a variety of students who come from multiple cultural and family backgrounds. Our school has a diverse population and with grades PreK-5. As an unique quality, our students get to experience an American Sign Language environment with our DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) program.
The students at our school love to learn, and they love being able to come to a fun, safe, caring, and learning environment.
We have a wide variety of student need at our school. We are a Title I school that has a very high mobility rate. They find comfort in the fact that school is one of the most constant aspects of some of their lives.
My students aspire to achieve the best despite any difficult circumstances they encounter along the way.They find joy in learning, and enjoy any provided learning opportunity.
My Project
This project will make a huge difference in many of my student's lives by providing them with a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to the world famous art museum Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Some of my students have never ventured out of our city and almost all of them would never get the opportunity to go to this museum due to the distance and cost of the museum!
With this project, my students will get the opportunity to have an immersive and interactive experience to see and touch all of the beautiful, unique, and eclectic artwork that Meow Wolf has to offer!
This museum is known worldwide and is gaining increasing popularity and would be a wonderful learning experience for each and everyone of my students.
