My Project
Microphoned headsets will be a wonderful additon to our ESL classes. Students that are aquiring English language sometimes do not feel comfortable practicing or even speaking English to their classmates. If we have our own set, my students will have access at anytime to practice speaking. We have a limited number of headsets with microphones at our school which is limiting to ESL students.
Headsets help immerse students in language through listening to speech patterns, expresssions, and pronunciation.
The addition of the microphone enables students to practice those patterns. Students will gain confidence not only in the speaking aspect of langauge but overall. They will be able to practice speaking when they feel comfortable. I will encourage them to try daily.
Most of my students do not have the foundation to assit with basic needs. They are struggling learners, who have left family and their lives as they know it for a better chance at life. One commonanility with my students is their desire to learn.
