My Project

Help My Tier 3 Students Thrive Through Collaborative Play

In my classroom, I work with Tier 3 students who consistently struggle with peer interaction due to behavioral challenges.

These students are bright and capable, but they often face difficulties in managing their emotions, engaging positively with others, and working through conflicts. The ability to self-regulate, communicate effectively, and think critically are essential skills for both academic success and personal growth. However, these students need more than traditional instruction to develop these skills—they need structured opportunities to reset, reflect, and engage with their peers in positive ways. I am seeking support to provide my students with resources for collaborative play, which will give them the tools to build stronger social and emotional foundations.

Collaborative play is a powerful way to teach students how to navigate social situations, solve problems creatively, and communicate effectively. For Tier 3 students, these opportunities are especially critical because they often struggle to engage in positive peer interactions. Through structured games and activities that encourage teamwork and strategic thinking, students will learn to take turns, manage frustration, resolve conflicts, and work together toward shared goals. These experiences will help them practice self-regulation in a safe and supportive environment while building confidence in their ability to work through challenges alongside their peers.

These tools will create a structured environment where students can engage, reflect, and grow together.
