My Project
When children are engaged in pretend play, they learn valuable skills that will last a life-time!
I currently teach in an Early Childhood Special Education Program that serves students that are 3 to 5 years of age with disabilities.
My preschoolers LOVE to spend time in the Housekeeping Center. Unfortunately our current set has seen better days. I would like to create an updated dramatic play area that children will have access to new quality materials that are interesting and stimulate imaginative and constructive play. When children are active in pretend play, they build social and language skills, develop creativity and imagination, and critical thinking skills. By contributing to this proposal you will be providing my students with a pretend play housekeeping/kitchen center that will allow them to dive into a world of imagination.
With your help, my students will be provided a beautiful dramatic play center where they are safe to explore and learn.
Thank you in advance for all that you are doing in the lives of so many children in need.
