Imagine . . . A PC In A Classroom . . . Now That's Thinking!
My students need a classroom computer in order to maximize their learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Knight's classroom raised $558
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's unfortunate that the only computer in our classroom is eight years old. Needless to say, the software is outdated. Our classroom would benefit from having a new laptop computer to replace the aged desktop computer.
My students represent a variety of ethnic cultures.
Many of them are from low-income families. They attend a public middle school located in California. All of my students are in the eighth grade. My students enjoy studying science, but we need hands-on materials to enhance their learning experience.
My Project
My students need one PC laptop to be used in the classroom. They work in groups to complete projects and make presentations, ann students use multimedia to make presentations. For example, students use software to record and edit clips for movies (3 - 5 minutes in length). Students incorporate audio, narration, pictures, etc. to enhance their movies. Currently, I have to borrow a PC from a colleague - as you can imagine this is huge inconvenience for all parties involved.
Please consider the impact that your donations will have on students who are willing and so deserving of learning.
I know that with the support of just a few donors, the opportunities for learning will be unlocked.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
