This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom consists of varied exceptional students. The age range is from 3-5 years old, and like I mentioned earlier, are all very exceptional. My classroom is full of different disabilities, whether it be developmentally delayed, speech impairment, language impairment, occupational or physical impairment, and sometimes even autism.
What makes my class special, are their differences.
They are all unique in their own ways and all have a drive to learn. My students are hungry to learn, whether it be ABCs, numbers, shapes, language, how to share, how to be a friend and so on.
My Project
The items I have listed will help my students to build, create and pretend with their peers. The STEM kit will grab the attention of my preschoolers due to the fairy tails that correlate with the kit. My students would love to design a house that can’t be blown down for the Three Little Pigs, construct a bridge that keeps 3 goats safe from the troll and build a chair even Goldilocks can’t break.
The baby dolls and cut up food would be a great addition to our kitchen area.
Students can learn to role play with each other and help build those social skills and language development.
