Technology is a growing part of education in the present day. Not only is the use of technology growing, but it is also a vital part of student learning. Using technology not only creates a hands-on experience for the students in absolutely any subject, but it also provides them with an engaging tool. I am asking for donations for a classroom IPad. We will utilize this IPad in many ways. One of the ways would be through projects. I am a 4th grade ELA teacher and presentations are a must. There are apps specifically designed for an IPad that enhance these presentations with simulation backdrops and video. We will also be able to communicate with 4th graders from other cities, states, and countries. Our fourth-grade team (students and two teachers) are also starting a blog to share all of these great ideas which will be done using the iPad. Thank you in advance for your donations and I can’t wait to share what we do!
My Project
The use of an iPad will make a difference in my students learning by giving them a tool to be able to use to communicate with other fourth-graders around the globe and build relationships. As an English teacher, I understand the importance of being able to write with a pen and paper as much as typing on a computer and this is a way to involve both interests. The students will be able to have experiences through applications on the iPad where they can turn their imagination into simulated presentations.
