My Project

The dramatic play area is the most sought after center in our classroom. I have been using the same hand me down kitchen set in my preschool class for the past 7 years and it is starting to lose some of the finish on the wood. I am afraid, before too long, the kids might get a splinter from the unfinished wood.

Four and five year olds have a vast imagination, and I love to watch that blossom and grow!

Our plain old kitchen set becomes so many different things in our classroom just by changing out the materials. It can be a kitchen, a grocery store, an ice cream shop, a vet clinic and so many other things, depending on what we are learning about in our classroom.

My students love to pretend and I know they would be so excited and proud to have a brand new kitchen play set.
