Help me give my students new Fairy Tales STEM kits to use their imaginations and to problem solve. A new bookshelf would also be extremely helpful to help store my new materials!
I am a preschool teacher in a Title I school in Chesapeake, Virginia. I have eighteen, curious and excited students in my class. Our students are picked on a need basis and just flourish in our classroom that is rich in print, music and hands-on activities.
My students love anything that is interactive and hands-on.
It is so important, at the beginning of the year, the room looks warm and inviting. We work so hard to make our classroom comfortable and welcoming to each and every child.
I strive to find activities and experiences that hook each child and give them exposure to academics needed for kindergarten. My students love working in small groups and love when we have new materials in the classroom.
My Project
I have asked for a new bookshelf to help us store our increasing number of books and hands-on activities. My students are at-risk 4 year olds and anything I can do to make learning fun and interactive is a must! However, I am running out of space!
I am also asking for new Fairy Tales STEM kits for my curious students.
We were graciously gifted 3 of these a few months back. The students LOVE playing with them and it promotes higher level thinking and cooperative play. I am also asking for new paint. We have not received new paint in 4 years because we have been told it is not in our budget. Our students love to paint and use their creative abilities.
