My Students
Working with students with special needs is a great privilege that entails a lot of hard work and preparation. It is indeed very rewarding once I see my students make progress in my classroom. I have 8 students this year. Most of them are under the umbrella of autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. The students I serve have Individualized Educational Plans in order to specifically address their focus skills in the least restrictive environment. A big part of their learning, in general, is making sure that my curriculum is exciting and engaging while also meeting their individual needs and goals.
My Project
In our current day and age, technology is one of the cornerstones of a great education. And certain pieces of technology can enhance learning even further. This is where the iMac comes in. It is jam-packed full of features that can make any learning experience even more amazing! The powerful processor of the iMac loads my teaching materials with lightning-fast speed, and the 256 GB SSD keeps pictures of my student's precious memories available with just a press of a button. Alongside those already astounding features, the Retina 4K display makes seeing each and every one of my student's beautiful faces even easier.
Keeping my special education students focused, connected, and engaged during distance learning is challenging.
I have to be resourceful and creative every time we conduct our zoom sessions. The use of videos and visuals keep my lessons interesting and engaging while also providing an exciting and enjoyable learning experience. My students deserve nothing but the best, and the iMac and provide just that!
