My Project

This school year has opened up my students' eyes to the wide diversity that this world is. They are meeting new friends who come from different backgrounds and different families. Adding these books to my classroom library allows me to have books for my students to choose from where the characters represent them. These books also allow for them to explore different ethnicities they may have questions about.

I am a big advocate for students finding books that they enjoy and want to pick!

My students have expressed interest in seeing more books with kids like them. They are also looking for new interesting books that catch their eye when browsing the shelves.
