This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high-poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students are thoughtful and enthusiastic learners.

They come to class each day eager to see their school family and tackle academic challenges. I am constantly amazed by their ingenuity and desire to be better than they were yesterday.

In my classroom, we focus on becoming learners, not just learning material. Hopefully, the skills they acquire are ones that will benefit them throughout their academic journey.

My Project

"What do I do now?", is something every teacher grows to dread hearing a student ask. This project would solve that problem!

These items would allow my students a variety of options for educational, brain-stretching activities to work on when they are finished with their classwork.

The logic puzzles will require them to enhance their critical thinking skills. The phonics games will help reinforce foundational skills. The work books will allow student to work on skills in areas that still need refinement. All of this will be done while working with a partner...building their teamwork skills.
