My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of energy! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. They are like little sponges absorbing everything. Some of my students have little or no self esteem which is very important in life to succeed. I want all these students to leave my class believing in themselves. I want them to know "I know! I can!" not "I think I can!"

My Project

After learning about nutrition and food groups my students will pretend to create meals using the knowledge they have been taught. They will organize and prepare meals. This will help them to become self sufficient adults. They will learn through playing with all these products. Along with preparing meals they will learn how to communicate and get along by sharing and comprising. These lessons and experiences will build throughout the school years. Hopefully they will bring these experiences home and learn real life experiences by helping their parents in the kitchen.
