This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are always happy to be at school and eager to learn! This is my sixth year teaching Kindergarten at my school. I work at a Title I school in an urban environment. In my school, 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.

These students are smart students and very capable of succeeding when given the proper tools.

We use a lot of music and technology throughout lessons since my students are growing up around technology. We are constantly moving using music and dance. My goal is to make learning fun for my students.

My Project

My students are growing up in a world full of technology. In my classroom, we have five computers and one iPad. I am asking for another iPad so that more students are able to use the technology.

The iPad will be used as a fun, interactive technology center to help differentiate learning.

My students will be able to practice their numbers, letters, and sight words with the iPad. They will also be able to listen to stories and sing songs. With this iPad, they will use apps such as RAZ Kids, ABC Ya, Starfall, ST Math, and Epic to enrich their reading, writing, and math skills.
