They come to school ready to learn despite the obstacles they face prior to stepping foot in the classroom. We are a Title I school, and many students do not have access to computers at home. The classroom is oftentimes their best opportunity to interact with educational technology.
My school district is moving to bring more technology into the classroom, and these materials will allow me to do so. The two iPads that I am requesting would provide valuable opportunities for my students to interact with technology. In my classroom, students would use the iPads daily to reinforce and practice skills while I am meeting with small groups. These educational games provide immediate feedback in the form of reinforcement and praise as the students are actively working. Also, the iPad has an endless amount of educational apps that meet varying skill levels and interests. This tool allows students to work at their own pace while still increasing competency. My students love technology, and this will encourage them greatly. Finally, there are sometimes a limited amount of computers and these will give us more access.
My students deserve the opportunity to interact with the latest educational technology.
With your help, we will become more digitally savvy. This will have a profound impact not just on this year, but on their educational
