My Students

Every day my students come to school ready and excited to learn! They come from many different backgrounds and have a large range of ability levels. 82% of my students receive free lunch, 7% receive reduced price lunch and three are migrant. Many of my students do not have computers or Wi-Fi in their homes. My Second Graders are all so curious about how they can use the latest technology. My students come to school so excited to learn new things.

My Project

My students would use the iPads to practice math skills, explore science, and learn how to do computer programing with coding apps in small groups and independently. They would learn to use real-world critical thinking skills through using apps and websites. As their teacher, there are apps that I would enable for me to be able to monitor the students work and give immediate feedback.

This project will benefit my students by allowing them to use the latest technology to reinforce the math, reading, and science skills I teach every day, as well as allow us to work on STEAM projects in class.
