My Project
My students are curious and creative learners who thrive when given opportunities to engage in hands-on STEM challenges. Many come from lower-income backgrounds and do not always have access to materials that make science and engineering come to life. This project will provide essential materials—LED lights, copper tape, and coin cell batteries—that students will use to design and build their own light-up greeting cards.
Using these materials, students will learn how simple circuits work in a fun and meaningful way, sparking their interest in technology and design.
The lessons I am designing with these materials will allow students to apply engineering and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and improve their circuit designs. Your donations to this project will help provide my students with hands-on learning experiences that make science and engineering engaging and accessible.
By integrating STEM with art and design, this challenge will inspire students to think like engineers while making connections to real-world applications of electricity.
