My Project
The light box and ramps will provide my Pre-K students with hands-on, engaging opportunities to explore early science concepts through play. The light box invites children to investigate light, color, shadows, and shapes in a sensory-rich way that captures their attention and encourages curiosity. The ramps will allow students to experiment with motion, gravity, force, and cause and effect, building foundational STEM skills through active discovery and problem-solving.
My goal for this project is to spark children’s natural sense of wonder and support learning through open-ended exploration.
These materials will encourage students to observe, ask questions, make predictions, and test ideas, all essential skills in early childhood development. As they work together with peers, they’ll also build language, social-emotional, and collaborative skills. These tools will help nurture their curiosity, support multiple ways of learning, and give each child the chance to explore and shine.
