My Project

Our school is asking for your support with acquiring a new laminator. Laminating machines are an essential tool in any school, just like pencils and paper. Teachers use laminating machines to preserve charts and posters to reinforce skills taught throughout the school year. Teachers also use laminating machines to create activities for students to practice skills in the classroom and at home. Laminating allows teachers to use materials for extended periods without using valuable planning time repeatedly creating anchor charts or activities.

Every classroom relies on environmental print to be a resource for students.

As the school year progresses, posters or anchor charts may begin to curl or become discolored. Materials such as sight word cards, alphabet cards, and number lines are used yearly but are often damaged during the school year or the deconstruction of the classroom. Laminating materials that can be used from year to year allows teachers to save time and money that would be otherwise spent to replace those items.

Additionally, laminating machines allow the school community to create correspondence for families to view without being concerned that those items will become worn or torn. Every student and parent wants to maintain a positive relationship with the school community. Fostering positive relationships relies heavily on clear and concise communication. A laminator will provide our school community with the ability to create correspondence that can be posted inside or outside of the school without the fear of being damaged or destroyed.

Please support our efforts to ensure our scholars have access to classrooms full of posters, anchor charts, and other forms of environmental print. We want to illuminate our classrooms to improve learning outcomes. Help us illuminate the lives of our students and families by donating towards a laminating machine.
