My Project

Since the Covid pandemic, teachers have seen a significant drop in reading skills. In fact, reading scores saw their largest decrease in thirty years. One way to support reading and writing in the ELA classroom is document cameras. When teaching students about reading and writing, document cameras allow us to project texts and examples on our smartboards and projector screens.

Whether it is teaching students how to identify a cool metaphor or walking them through writing a thesis statement, document cameras allow teachers to magnify the work for the entire class to see!

Teachers can walk students through the writing process and magnify reading passages to support student learning. When teaching large classes full of students, document cameras are a way for every student to get a closer look at the lesson.

Document cameras are a simple tool that make such a big difference in supporting our young readers!
