This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning still life techniques is crucial for budding artists, as it provides them with the foundation to observe and capture the world around them with precision and detail. By studying still life, students learn valuable skills such as composition, proportion, shading, and perspective, which are essential for any aspiring artist's toolkit.

This unconventional medium allows students to experiment with light and shadow in a whole new way, as they learn to delicately layer white pigment to create the illusion of transparency on a dark background.

With your generous support, we can provide our art students with the necessary materials, including white colored pencils, drawing boards, sharpeners, and black paper, to embark on this captivating artistic journey. Your donation will not only enrich their artistic skills but also inspire creativity, foster self-expression, and instill a lifelong love for the arts.
