Today's students focus on fun and technology for learning. Their idea of studying includes entertainment and noise! Encouraging students to master terminology, identification and memorization becomes quite challenging. The JEOPARDY Game set allows the students to test their knowledge, be competitive and have fun all at the same time. Agriculture, specifically Animal Science I/II and Horticulture has many categories for students to learn. Our school is located in a rural county where watching television is a favorite past time. Game shows are very popular with our students and community members. Terminology and identification can easily be set up in the Jeopardy game format. Some students will be able to play the game as an competitor while others will be able to learn from the game as a member of the audience. The students will be able to answer questions, develop questions and even act as host using this game. The game will also be used in training teams for regional, state, and national FFA Competitions. Format and procedure, which is necessary in an agriculture field of study will also be taught by using the Jeopardy game. Although money will not be won, our students especially those in a lower income level will love the idea of becoming rich through their knowledge of a particular subject area!
