My Project
My students are a group of motivated and inspiring kids. They are bright and so willing to learn. Many don't have the resources that others have access to, but that doesn't stop their thirst for learning. I am thrilled to be the teacher of bright, funny, curious, and innovative students. Each day, we begin our day by asking about each others' weekend or special events that are happening. This starts our day in a positive way and allows students to build conversations with each other. Letting the students in on my life and vice versa gives us a great chance to build long-lasting relationships! Teachers today use iPads to record grades, calculate averages, manage attendance and access data on student performance in online programs and assessments. iPads have also made it easier for teachers to vary their instructional delivery. I use technology to guide my daily lessons in PowerPoint formats, watch educational as well as entertaining videos, and also as a way to give online lessons to my students.
Having innovative technology in my classroom will definitely help benefit my students.
We live in a world in which kids know everything about computers and how to use them. This Apple iPad will be used as I conduct daily small groups with my students. This will help with data and lesson planning throughout the day and by engaging students in substantive, collaborative, project-based work in reading, math, and science. iPads also make collaborative planning (with parents) and group communication easier. Laptops are portable, which makes it easier to transport from class to class and from desk to desk.
I feel that it is important for both teachers and students to learn and be familiar with using a computer to gather information and distribute ideas.
