My Students
The students that I work with are an eager, motivated, empathetic, and lovable bunch who truly love being in school. They have a strong desire to be successful and make others proud of them.
Time and time again, I have witnessed my students apply a great amount of effort into staying focused and motivated throughout even the most difficult lessons.
Their perseverance is extremely admirable and often encourages me! My students come to school each day ready to work diligently and to strive for success. I want the to feel important and know that I will give them my best. They truly amaze me.
My Project
Our fun and exciting first grade classroom focuses on the Reader's Workshop model for literacy instruction. During this time, students work in small groups to complete a variety of differentiated reading work including teacher led small group instruction, reading with a friend, reading independently and reading with technology.
These new iPads will serve as an additional tool in allowing my students to challenge, motivate, and build excitement towards reading.
Using the Epic! an app, students can read hundreds of books on their own or listen to books being read to them. This helps promote independence and confidence in each young learner.
