My students need 2 iPad minis and protective covers to help research about nutrition, health, and wellness.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
This generation of students prefer playing video games over going outside to play. For this reason, I want to teach my students how to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.
My classroom consists of twenty boys and girls with varying ability levels.
Our elementary school is located in a small town in South Carolina. Although the students come from a variety of backgrounds, one thing remains the same- their interest in technology. Our school is embracing 21st Century learning and I want to take advantage of my students' love of technology. I plan to use technology to teach them about exercise, nutrition, and healthy living.
My students need 2 iPad minis and protective covers to help research about nutrition, health, and wellness. My students will use these iPads to research a variety of topics including what a balanced diet consists of, the importance of exercising, and the negative effects unhealthy eating can have on us. Students will then use the PicCollage and ShowMe apps to present this information to their peers. Students will not only learn about health and wellness, but also important public speaking skills.
If funded, I truly believe this grant will help improve the lives of my students, in terms of academics and health.
Students will become better educated about how to live a healthy lifestyle. This new foundation of information will encourage my students to eat healthy, exercise, and put the video games down!
