it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students would love to explore the evolving world of technology using the latest resources. This mini iPad would allow more students to use technology in our classroom to explore concepts they are learning.
My students are motivated first graders.
They are hungry for technology and eager to learn. We have a few classroom desktops that I use for students to explore educational websites when they have completed classwork. I have sign up sheets to allow equal time and access for students. Constantly, I have students asking me to use the computer and many students are left without computer time each week.
My Project
The iPad I've requested would stay in our classroom full-time, allowing greater access and opportunities for learning for our class. My first grade scholars will be able to use the iPad for individual practice or learning opportunities differentiated to meet their needs. They will also use them to work collaboratively in groups for both math and literacy activities, including problem-solving, storytelling, and foundational skills practice.
