iLearn with iPad - The iPad Generation

My Students

This technology train is moving forward! It is hard to function in this day and time without technology. If they don't learn now...they will soon be left behind...and that is not something I am willing to accept. My students need an iPad Mini and cases!

I am a Kindergarten teacher at a Title I school district in Texas.

My students are fun, imaginative, eager to learn, and some of the most inquisitive children I have ever taught. They are a constant reminder of why I love teaching. I see great potential in each one of them and I intend to extend their learning experiences and open opportunities for them to become great readers, mathematicians, and technology gurus.

My Project

I have requested an iPad Mini and an Otterbox case for our classroom. I've also requested an additional Otterbox case for an iPad we have in our classroom. With this technology, my students will be able to practice their reading, phonics, math, and technology skills during literacy center time. There are several applications that can be downloaded for the students to become successful in all of these fields. As pre-readers, they will begin working on phonics and sight words by playing fun games on the iPad Mini. They will also have the opportunity to work on patterns, counting, and other early math concepts. I plan to use the iPad Mini in our daily routine and I know my students will be excited to have access to this technology in our class.
