Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in the world of seventh grade. My students are amazing, hardworking individuals who strive for more each and every day.

My students have their own personal barriers that set them in a different world of "norm".

My classroom consists mostly of second language learners who want to feel empowered, want to learn, and be successful in life.

This generation of students has been built in the world of technology. As an ELAR teacher, I am determined to find fun and interactive ways to help my students reach their goals.

My Project

I plan to have my students use iPads during small group instruction and during independent practice through literacy centers. My students will be able to work on skills using Kahoot!, Quizizz, and more learning websites that engage students in their learning. This will give me the opportunity to differentiate instruction and cater to the needs of each student in my classroom. Having the iMac will allow me to run my classroom and keep a close eye on all that my students are doing while I am working in small groups. It will also help the students have the means to perform lengthy research projects that will allow them to sync with the iPads they will be using.
