My Students

Imagine stepping out into the technology driven workplace, searching for a job, only to find out you are not prepared. As a Title One school many of my students lack technology opportunities at home. iPads in our classroom will teach students the technology skills needed to be success.

My students are the sweetest, most precious, lovable kindergartners in the entire world.

Many of my students struggle for food and clean clothes daily. My classroom is a safe haven to many of them. They look to us for nourishment, comfort, support, and education. As a teacher I am required to cover standards and reach various data points. Sometimes I feel like I must bounce from wall to wall and sing an abundance of songs to keep my student who slept in the living room awake. That same student is amazed by technology and thrives when using it. They find excitement in various apps and slowly learn that playing and learning go hand in hand.

My Project

With these iPads my students will be able to practice basic math facts using Math Bingo apps. They can learn to recognize and spell sight words. Students can complete simple research projects and create books becoming their own published author. These iPads will be used to reinforce skills for students, challenge my advanced learners, and support struggling learners with alternate activities.

With your support of this project students will greatly improve their technology skills allowing them to be better prepared for the workplace (many years down the road!).
