I teach a wonderful group of First graders in South Carolina! We have a diverse group with a variety of learning styles and strengths.
My students are very eager to learn and are full of energy and life.
They look forward to new challenges they face in my class each day. Their spirits shine bright with anticipation of new learning! These students have every opportunity for success, and I want to open the doors for them! I strive to set my students up for as much success as possible.

Technology improves student engagement while learning! My students are eager to use technology in each subject area throughout the day, and tablets would create a new level of excitement in our classroom.
We are requesting tablets to use during literacy and math centers.
They will be able to read books on their level as well as practice math fact fluency. Tablets would allow my students to create, evaluate, analyze, apply, and understand their thinking and learning through a variety of apps that allow academic exploration.
The tablets would work great with our reading and writing workshop rotations, where each student would have the ability to use them throughout the day. Students could practice math facts through the app Reflex Math. Literacy apps would allow students to read and create books through a variety of media formats.
These tablets would enrich our classroom community as I prepare my students to enter the world of technology!
