My Project
In my middle school classroom, I strive to make reading an exciting and engaging experience for my students. Many of my students, who come from diverse backgrounds, face challenges in connecting with traditional texts. To foster a love of reading and encourage literacy development, I’m requesting a set of popular manga series: My Hero Academia Volumes 1-5, One Piece Volumes 1-3, and Fullmetal Alchemist Volumes 1-3. These series will provide exciting and accessible options for my students, making reading fun and relevant to their interests.
Manga is a fantastic tool for building reading comprehension, enhancing vocabulary, and improving critical thinking.
With dynamic art, compelling characters, and intricate storylines, these books will inspire my students to dive deeper into their literacy skills. Manga also promotes creativity, and my students will be encouraged to reflect on the stories, creating their own narratives and developing writing skills through character analysis and plot development.
These books will serve as engaging entry points for reluctant readers, especially those who may find traditional novels overwhelming. My Hero Academia, One Piece, and Fullmetal Alchemist will give students the tools they need to build confidence in reading while exploring exciting narratives filled with action, emotion, and life lessons. This project will help my students cultivate a lifelong love for reading and improve their literacy skills in a fun, meaningful way.
