My Project
I have the privilege of teaching a group of incredibly bright, curious, and deeply thoughtful 8th grade gifted students in Chicago. What I love most about my students is their insatiable thirst for knowledge and their willingness to grapple with complex ideas. They come to my classroom eager to explore different perspectives, challenge assumptions, and make meaningful connections between what they learn and the world around them. They are truly a joy to teach!
This project aims to bring Paulo Coelho's inspiring novel, The Alchemist, to life for my students.
This book is more than just a story; it's a philosophical journey that explores themes of following your dreams, overcoming obstacles, listening to your heart, and the interconnectedness of the universe. These are powerful concepts that resonate deeply with young adolescents as they begin to navigate their own paths and consider their futures.
