My Project
Read-alouds are like secret doors to awesome worlds for elementary school students. During a read-aloud, the reader's voice is like a spell, making characters and adventures come alive. These story sessions aren't just lessons; they're shared adventures that make reading feel like pure magic. While students are entranced, read-alouds help to develop processing skills, expand vocabulary, and increase reading comprehension.
Although the read-aloud experience is already fantastic, Novel Effect elevates the read-aloud experience even more through a library of nearly 1,000 books with matching soundscapes featuring interactive music, sound effects, and character voices!
With Novel Effect, as stories are read aloud, the words trigger actions in the soundscape to happen—truly bringing the story to life! With this Novel Effect membership, we will be able to bring enhanced read-alouds to three classrooms. Even better, our older students will be encouraged to practice reading books aloud to make the soundscapes happen on their own!
